Within each local church, residents are given responsibility, mentored by senior leaders, and provided a healthy church environment to learn, grow, and practice vocational pastoral ministry. Our residency program brings together the best of seminary education and the local church experience in preparing future church leaders for life-long faithfulness in ministry.

The Grove Church is Jesus-ruled, elder-led, deacon-served, and congregationally-guarded. Our Pastoral Residency program is a 24-36 month ministry training program for men who desire vocational ministry and desire hands on experience and training. This individual may have a desire to plant in the future, or be a Lead Pastor, or an Associate Pastor role. Part of this Residency is to help the individual find clarity in their ministry aspirations. Our Residency Program involves overseeing specific ministries based on the resident’s gifting and the church’s need, reading/writing, and observation of the pastoral staff and elders at The Grove.
