Christ City Church
Introduction
Christ City is a "normal" church in the heart of Dallas, Texas. Our Pastoral Residency is a three-year immersive, mentor-based program designed to prepare residents for the unique challenges of pastorally leading the most common church in the U.S., a church of 150 or less. By enmeshing residents within our faith family and empowering them with daily and weekly responsibilities for the faith family, residents learn to do the work of pastoring by actually doing the work of pastoring.

Program overview
Leading a small church is not the goal nor the ideal, but it is the starting point for leading a healthy and lasting church family. At least, we believe so! While development doesn’t always scale down, it has limitations in scaling up as well. However, there is an ever-increasing plethora of aids to assist emerging leaders in leading up, but few for leading down. We believe that for the U.S. church now and in the future, we need more leaders developed to lead thriving and growing normal churches, and we believe we can be a part of meeting that need.
