Midtown Presbyterian Church
Introduction
Midtown is a missional community focused on reaching spiritual wanderers, skeptics, and deconstructors in an urban setting. We do this through skeptics studies, film and art showcases, public forums, and a heavy emphasis on tables and hospitality as the means by which our neighbors can experience the Kingdom. We have also developed deep community partnerships where we can serve the poor and needy, have a leadership development program designed to produce thriving, healthy ministers, and have already contributed to planting two new churches in our few years!

Program overview
MPC's residency program is designed as a two-year opportunity where job responsibilities and feedback dovetail training and mentoring. The program includes hands-on ministry experience in multiple areas of the local church alongside vocational development, with the goal of growing the resident in four main leadership competencies (emotional and spiritual health, proficiency in ministry, leadership skill, and biblical/theological integration). The program is designed to, within its two years, produce a candidate who is ordained or in the ordination process and ready to be sent out to pastor, plant, or revitalize within ECO.
